Important to know:

*We’ve been talking about midsouthrfl.org going away one day – and it’s almost here. Relay Nation will be taking the place of midsouthrfl.org and other Division pages. All the great resources found on midsouthrfl.org will be moving over to Relay Nation. But don’t worry – there will be a transition period over the next 6 months to transfer all the great resources.

*Your volunteers are receiving email promotions regarding Relay Nation – so be sure to promote this great new Relay resource to your volunteers.

The following Relay Nation email will be delivered on February 7 to Relay For Life committee members with non-suppressed email addresses captured for current year events. Team Captains will receive a similar message at the end of February. More details to follow on that communication in a future update.

100th Birthday Updates

May 22, 2013, marks the American Cancer Society’s 100th birthday. As the official sponsor of birthdays, we believe this year provides a unique opportunity for our organization to: 1) increase the public’s knowledge of our incredible accomplishments and contributions during the past 100 years, 2) to re-energize our valued volunteers, staff, donors, and collaborative partners across the country who have helped us achieve our lifesaving progress, and 3) to raise funds to finish the fight moving forward.

To assist staff and volunteers across the country in leveraging our 100th birthday to achieve these goals, we have created a 100th Birthday Community Resource Guide that offers ideas and opportunities for integrating 100th birthday messaging and themes into already planned events, promotions, and communications throughout the year. The resource guide and materials are easy to use and focus on practical ideas to enhance what you’re already doing – not add work to your already full plate.

The 100th Birthday Resource Guide is now available in the Resources section of the Birthdays community on the Link. A special folder has been created for all 100th birthday communications materials. The direct link to the community is https://www.societylink.org/portal/server.pt?open=512&objID=1000&PageID=0&cached=true&mode=2&userID=4147210.
